Lily Ellingson Photography

I was ironing upstairs the other day and I hear the kiddos playing in the hallway and it was cracking me up.
I had to sneak over and get some video.
I'm not sure where Lily gets her "take charge" attitude . . .

After taking the video I gave her my phone and showed her how to take pictures with it.
When she was done I had 71 new pictures.
Here are a few shots of her oh so cooperative model.

Notice the cut on Cannon's forehead?
Yeah he had a little run in with Lily - she accidentally sat on his head last Sunday.
A nice big gash resulted.
We had to superglue it shut.
Good times.
He also got some nice road rash on the side of his head/arm that same day.
Tonight he busted his lip pushing his favorite metal truck (see previous post).
Poor guy - it's tough being one.

what's for dinner?

Yet another post this week.

Lily was killin' us last night.

It is such a pain to try and get her to eat her dinner.

It's pretty hard not to crack up at her distraction techniques.

What in the h-e-c-k is she talking about?

I'm pretty sure she doesn't even know what she's talking about.

All I can say is, the teenage years are gonna be interesting.

So interesting.

Oh, and please ignore my raspy voice. I've been a little under the weather.

And, dinner involved red sauce and I really didn't want it on her shirt, thus the completely inappropriate dinner attire.

Enjoy your day.

Slacker . . .

OK - so my friend Jill texted me a few minutes ago and informed that I need to update my blog, and it's TOTALLY true. I've been a slacker, but somehow I just can't seem to find the time to get it done. Plus I haven't taken any good pictures lately. I'll take some this week and get them posted asap. I do have this little video clip of "big sister" holding Cannon. She likes to hold him but always seems to ask at the most inconvenient times, like when I'm feeding him, or when he has a poopy diaper, etc.

My parents were in town for 9 days and just left on Sunday morning so yesterday was my first day of "reality" with the munchkins. It went pretty good, but I gotta admit that the two hour visit from Jill and Cohen helped out a TON. Today was a visit from Courtney and Landon, so that was nice too.

I was actually just taking a nap this afternoon with Cannon (Lily is asleep in her bed), and I think it's only like the fifth nap I've had a chance for since he arrived, so I think that brings my total hours of sleep since he was born to like 40 . . . no joke. He only gets up twice during the night, but the feedings seems to take forever between the multiple diaper changes, nursing, burping, etc. To top it off, Lily has started getting up between 5:30 and 6:00 so her early wake-up call combined with the night feeding is not a good combo! Luckily today was 6:10 which I can handle, since Dave has to get up anyway. But, anytime before 6:00 am is just not workin' for me. Enough of the complaining though, some glorious day Cannon will go to bed and sleep through night, right? Someone remind me that it's true, PLEASE?!? I can't seem to remember how we got Lily to the point of putting her in her bed promptly at 7:00 and not hearing a peep from her until morning. It seems so far away!

So in general, all is well. I have two BEAUTIFUL babies, and they are sweet as can be. Again - I promise I'll post some more pictures later in the week. And, we'll do a new header soon. We're having my photographer friend Lindsay do a shoot the first Sat. in May so I'm waiting to put some of those sure to be FABULOUS pics on the new header. (check out her "Pied Piper Photography" blog here).

Oh, and here is the video, please ignore my HORRENDOUS voice. I'm fully aware that I can't carry a tune, but Lily has no clue, so I can still subject her to my singing . . . and does Cannon crack you up in this video or what? He's just laying there like, what in the heck is going on?!?
