He doesn't open them much, but here's a peek at those almost open eyes . . .

And, here is my sidekick, right alongside me taking her own pictures of Benson.

She is always right there trying to get a peek at Benson, or a sneak a kiss.

It's surprising to me how much she and Cannon already love him.

It's crazy to think that I was supposed to be getting induced tomorrow night at 9:00, and that my actual due date isn't for another 6 days!

Amen for having your water break early.

Didn't love the preeclampsia part, but not complaining that I got a few weeks cut off my pregnancy!

We're just glad that Benson is here and healthy.

I forgot how easy nursing is (insert sarcasm here).

It was actually going quite well . . . until my milk came in.

Either way, I love my newest addition.

He's a precious little peanut.

He had his first doctor visit yesterday.

He is 5lbs, 8oz.

He feels so tiny compared to my other babies!

He only eats once at night, and I wake him up for that feeding, so who knows if he would wake up on his own.

Pretty much I have to wake him up for every feeding.

Doctor says it's because he's so little.

I had forgotten how much little boys prefer peeing with their diaper OFF.

My parents were here through Tuesday afternoon, and Mimi has taken the older kiddos for the last two days so I have had it WAY too good.

I'm enjoying just being alone with Benson and getting lots of good cuddles!

Last night while the kids were getting ready for bed Benson was wide-eyed and alert.

We all sat around him and the kids sang to him.

It was really weird to see THREE kids there.

We love you baby Benson.

i have had preeclampsia the last week and a half.

put on bedrest on thursday.

my water broke at 1:30am thursday night - 3 1/2 weeks early!

benson was here at 5:56am.

we are all in love with our tiny boy.

Valentine News . . .

Anyone wondering why I've been a lame blogger lately?

Well, here's why (read carefully) . . .

We're very excited for number three, but I've never really been sick before so this whole constant nausea thing is new to me.
I really can't complain though.
I have friends that have it much worse!

We sent this valentine's out to friends and family that weren't local.

Most of the people around here already knew the big news!

Can't wait to find out what we're having!

My baby.

So the day has almost arrived, and I can't believe that Lily is about to be my BIG girl and not my baby any more. It's hard to believe, as she's still so young! But, I know that when this little guy arrives she's going to seem so old.

I went to the doctor on Friday and was still progressing, 2+ cm and 75% effaced, so that's good. I'm going back to him on Tuesday afternoon, so we'll see if anything new has happened.

Who knows maybe the next post will include pictures of our new baby boy, and we can see who won the guessing game!

False Alarm

I got a call from the doctor's office, and apparently the doctor isn't going to be in this morning. I'm hoping some lucky patient is having their baby as we speak!

They rescheduled our appointment for Friday, so hopefully, this little munchkin in my tummy will cooperate so we can find out if we're having a boy or girl.

I'll be almost 21 weeks on Friday, so we're definitely READY to find out!!
